How to transfer 2FA to a new device
To transfer your 2FA to a new device, please follow the instructions based on your device's operating system
For Android
1. Install the Google Authenticator app on your new Android device.
2. Open the Authenticator app on your new device and tap the three-dot menu icon at the top right corner of the screen, followed by "Transfer accounts."
3. Select "Import accounts" to create a QR code to bring in your new accounts. Enter your PIN.
4. Tap "Scan QR code" at the bottom right corner of the screen.
5. Open the Authenticator app on your old Android device. Tap the three-dot menu icon, followed by "Transfer accounts."
6. Select "Export accounts" to create a QR code to send out the accounts. Enter your PIN.
7. Choose the accounts you want to export and tap "Next."
8. Scan the QR code on the new device and tap "Done."
For iOS
1. Install the Google Authenticator app on your new iOS device.
2. Open the Authenticator app on your old iOS device. Tap the search bar in the bottom menu, followed by "Transfer accounts" and then "Continue."
3. Enter your PIN or scan your fingerprint or face to verify. Select the accounts to create a QR code.
4. Open the Authenticator app on your new iOS device. Tap the plus icon (+) and choose "Scan a QR code."
5. Scan the QR code generated from your old device, and the code set will be transferred to your new device.
Note: You can obtain your PIN by scanning your fingerprint, scanning your face, or unlocking your password on your old mobile device.
