What are Secret Key and API Key?

• Secret Key 
  Functions like a password, used to verify that the API caller is the true owner of the corresponding API Key.
• API Key 
  Functions like a username, identifying who is making the API request.

How to Create a Secret Key and API Key.

If you wish to create an API Key on Maxbit, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your account at Maxbit.com, click the Profile menu, and go to API Management.

   
   
   
    

2. Read the terms of use, then click Create to generate your API Key. 
   
   
3. Enter a name for your API Key, then click Create API. You will receive both an API Key and an API Secret, which can be copied for use. 
   
   
    
4. Copy and store your Secret Key securely. ⚠️ The Secret Key will only be displayed once. 
   
   
5. Select the functions you wish to enable for accessing your account data.
